Banana industry development and extension project (BA25001)

This project will help banana growers adopt proven practices that improve productivity, profitability and sustainability. 

The program works directly with growers to turn research outcomes into everyday farm decisions, providing tailored support to overcome barriers to adoption. This includes clear advice, on‑farm engagement and collaboration with industry partners to ensure extension activities respond to current challenges facing the banana industry. 

On‑farm innovation and demonstration trials form a key part of the project, with trial topics guided by issues identified by growers. Results will be shared through industry publications and online platforms to support wider adoption of research outcomes and best management practices across the banana industry.
